A film school that not only teaches you how to make films; but teaches you how to be a great director by requiring you to ACT in all of the films; AND a program that teaches you all the business and marketing skills you need to ensure that your finished film actually has... a future?

BARE ESSENTIALS:
8- to 10-week course, meeting from 2 - 7PM on Saturdays (see dates above), usually only three students max in each class, only $2495 (when paid in full)
WHY ACTORS FILM SCHOOL?
There are eleven reasons why Actors Film School should be the only film school you consider.
1. LEARN IT ALL - You will write, direct, produce, edit, and STAR IN your own short film, plus co-produce and act in 3 others.
2. GUARANTEED COMPLETION - all students agree in writing to finish their film--on schedule and on budget (which is the hallmark of a professional filmmaker.)
3. PERSONAL ATTENTION: Class sizes are 6 or less, and usually only 3.
4. REAL WORLD: Learn how to shoot a short film as if it were a feature film, i.e. shot lists, location scouting, shooting schedules, etc.
5. ONE-ON-ONE EDITING: Private editing instruction on Final Cut Pro, using techniques unique to your film.
6. IMDB LISTING: You and your film will become listed on IMDb, along with your classmates' films as well.
7. FEATURE FILM: You will work on and develop your very own feature film project in the class while learning how to shoot your short.
8. FESTIVAL INCLUDED: Your film and your classmates' films get screened in two festivals minimum: AFS online festival, and Unstoppable Artists/AFS Film Festival in Manhattan
9. BUSINESS ESSENTIALS: You will learn the essential marketing, financial, contract, and networking skills you need to succeed as an artist from a business and marketing pro.
10. CAREER PLAN: You will develop a 5-year career plan during the course--as an actor, director, producer, and/or screenwriter.
11. SAVE MONEY: You will save thousands and thousands of dollars off the cost of traditional film school tuition, and are guaranteed to have much more fun!
THE DETAILS:
* 8 weeks (possibly 9 or 10, depending on shooting schedules---all class sessions are on Saturdays; perhaps one or two Sundays if shooting requires)
* 4 students in each class (3 students and the instructor)
* Each student produces and acts in 3 short films (1 starring role; 2 co-starring roles)
* Each student gets to write, direct, and edit his/her own film
* Each film is 3 - 5 minutes in length
* Leave the program with a DVD with all the completed films, and a 5-year promotion and marketing plan for your career
NOTE: if instructor participates, then you'll also act in a 4th film, and have a 4th actor in your film.
PLUS:
* All projects will receive an official title page on IMDb (the internet movie database) and you will receive four acting credits on IMDb, four producing credits, four camera credits, 1 editing credit, and 1 screenwriting credit.
* Learn the business, financial, and legal skills you need to succeed in the arts from Monroe Mann.
* Learn all the essentials of lighting, sound, cinematography, screenwriting, directing, editing, and DVD production during the course
* Begin producing your feature film "star vehicle" during the 7-week program--no joke!
* Each project is co-produced by Monroe Mann
* All films will be submitted to film festivals
* Screening in New York City every summer in a theater, plus automatic screening in the AFS online film festival
